First ponytail, I did it and a Sunday morning...

This is Cambryn's first ponytail! I was SO excited! Ryan was home from work that morning and while I was combing her hair I just kept saying, "I can do it, I can do it, I can really put it in a ponytail!" It was a big moment for me- obviously! Our little "itty-bitty" is two and a half and I can FINALLY put her hair in a ponytail! There may be some naysayers out there who might argue that this doesn't qualify as a full ponytail. To you I would say, "PLEASE don't crash my party- let me have my moment!" Also it was bagel morning (thanks for coming Tisha- it's always fun) and it was Book Club too- so I got to show off her first ponytail! I was a very proud mama!

I DID IT!
This past week, Monday through Friday, I woke up early (4:30a.m.) and went walking! Five days in a row I got myself out of bed and did something healthy! I am so proud of myself- I have said many times in the past, "I'm going to exercise everyday this week," and usually by Wednesday morning I am having a weak moment and there goes that goal- out the window! So I said I was going to do it, I did it and now- I am tooting my own horn!

These pictures are from last Sunday morning. We have church at 3:00 in the afternoon, and to be quite honest with young children it is really hard to fill that much time with "Sabbath" activities. Now don't go getting worried we are not playing outside, shopping at the store or going out to lunch. It is more like redefining terms such as "Sunday movies" a favorite for us this year has been Mary Poppins. We do pretty well it is just that without Church to set the tone and spirit for the day- it can sometimes feel like a Saturday morning instead of a Sunday morning! Needless to say, I am looking very forward to church at 8:00a.m. come January. Having church that early will mean I will be getting up at 4:15a.m. (30min. of getting ready time for each member of the family) that is my trick- thanks mom for letting me in on that tip! It really does work! So even though I will need to get up that early I am so looking forward to church setting the tone for the day. It is a possibility that ward council meeting will be at 6:30a.m.- those weeks will be even trickier- but I feel up for the challenge!

Back to the pictures:
Morgan was helping me make waffles(Ryan spared all of you by making sure I wasn't in the pictures- you can thank him later!)

Cute pictures. I can't belive you get up so early. I can't seem to get out of bed if it's still dark out. Are you going to be down by Wednesday? I will be at my mom's house all day.

Okay Darice, I thought you were so normal up until now! Are you kidding me about that early morning exercise?!! What in the world?! That sounds like the most inhumane torture I could ever imagine! Truly. If you really aren't insane, I'll have to give you massive respect for that one. You are a better woman than I am! LOL!

And, for the record, that is a real ponytail, no matter how skinny it is! Love it!
