This Fourth of July we celebrated by having a barbecue at the Jensens, with the Jensen and Burris families. The kids played and played while the adults enjoyed games. We met back up with the Jensens at the high school for fireworks- Lacey had planned on staying home- I'm really glad I convinced her to come.
For the second year in a row the weather cooperated and there was a nice breeze. We were definitely happy to have not come until the sun went down- I think it would have been very hot with the sun beating down on our backs. Our town does a great job with all of the events they put on, the only improvement to the fireworks show would be a better sound system. It is so hard to hear the patriotic music- which has always been one of my favorite parts.
